Jesse is a 6 year old Palimino Arab/Quarterhorse mare. I bought her as a 2 year old at an auction, and showed her inhand as a 2 yearold and 3 yearold. I started breaking her in fall of her 3yearold year. Continued on to show her as a 4yearold at the A-class arabian shows and register her in the Futurity Maturity competition with SAHA. At the Futurity Maturity Competition I was the only youth rider against many well known trainers; we recieved Reserve Champion(second) earning 200some dollars and a cooler. When she was 5 we trained all winter with Dale Huber; he helped us get to where we are now in terms of knowledge of the arabian world. We went to Region 17 Arabian Championships and got a Reserve Championship in Halter Showmanship. After that we were 'burnt out' as far as showing went, so we began to persuit other interests. I began riding her bareback wich turned into bareback and brideless riding. When the snow fell this winter it was hard to ride anywhere so I spent alot of time on the ground with her. As I started to really understand her and she started to trust me she started presenting more un-natural bahviors which then turned into tricks. From each trick she offered me I built off of it and came up with more cues and more tricks. Jesse will now bow, salute, rear, take anything I offer her and wave it, I am able to stand on her back, she will perform bareback and bridleless as well as doing variouse ground exersizes without a halter. Jesse will also kick a large ball and the walk and trot and maintain a good cadence. Jesse and Katelyn were named the embasadors of the HORSE SHOWCASE in May 2009. As we proceed as a team I will continue adding to our list of accomplishments and keep everyone updated on any news.
